Creating Abundance In Your Backyard - Jim Gale on The Highwire

Jim Gale of Food Forest Abundance on The Highwire w/ Del Bigtree

Jim Gale the Founder of Food Forest Abundance and partner Travis Holzem drove from Jim's home in Orlando, Florida to Austin, TX to install a Food Forest on the property of ICAN & The Highwire Studio. We installed a Food Forest in Zone 1 of the property. This will allow easy access for the Onsite Chefs to walk right out the front door to gather herbs, fruits, and vegetables for preparing meals for the Staff. It was an amazing 3-day transformation turning a 1000 sq ft patchy grass lawn into a food-producing food forest. While we transformed the lawn, Del's Professional Camera crew filmed the entire process while interviewing Jim about why we need to turn our lawns into food-producing spaces. It was an amazing experience and now the world is hearing about us.  We would like to give a big thanks to Del Bigtree and his Staff, George Altgelt, a Soil Expert with Geo Growers in Austin, TX for his expertise, and Don Grubish of D&S Design House in Inver Grove Heights, MN for the rush job on our beautiful embroidered polo shirts. "Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come."
